A free event to help local textile businesses combat everyday problems facing the industry is being run by De Montfort University’s (DMU) Textile Engineering And Materials Network (TEAMnet).

The workshop, A Business Adventure: Your regulatory affairs and finances, takes place from 9am to 1pm on Tuesday 11 March at the Cropston Visitor Centre in Leicestershire.

TEAMnet works with enterprises that make or supply textiles and related equipment to provide them with the knowledge and skills needed to attract new customers and new technologies.

Specialist speakers at the event will give support on issues ranging from the latest regulations for the European safety standard CE marking, to information on protecting intellectual property and guidance on how businesses can save energy and money by reducing their environmental impact.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to ask questions about specific problems and network with other businesses in the area.
