The University of Northampton's Enterprise Club and Business Link Northampton, based in the University's Business School, have helped 150 aspiring entrepreneurs with advice on starting their own businesses over the past three months. These enormously successful free workshops, funded by Business Link, give guidance on the basics of starting and running a business, going into more depth on legal issues, tax, financial planning, marketing and business plans. Due to popular demand and the success of their workshop in Kettering in April, The University of Northampton is pleased to announce another workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, 28 June at Kettering Borough Council offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering. Sharon Irwin, Enterprise Club Manager, commented: ''We are thrilled with the numbers of aspiring business men and women we have helped with the basics of starting their businesses over the past three months and look forward to welcoming many more to these workshops. ''This is a great opportunity for students who want to explore self employment after they graduate or anyone with these ambitions to receive free, invaluable advice on how to do it. You may have already set up a business but want an extra push on marketing or writing your business plan. All are welcome to this workshop.'' The workshop runs from 10am – 5pm and includes a buffet lunch. To book your place, please contact the Enterprise Club on 01604 893444 or email: businesslink@northampton.ac.uk.
