5th September 2012 - Growing Through Challenging Times
Event type : Seminar
Duration (hours) : 6
With the Recent Launch of the GrowthAccelerator Service in the UK & the Economy Continuing to Struggle to Recover, Governments & Employers throughout Europe are Searching for Ways to Make Things Happen.
Exponential Training have scheduled a conference for the 5th September 2012 which will report on two major European projects which are at the heart of helping businesses to grow. Involving over 3,000 people and businesses, and eleven Partners across Europe, Perspectives 360 and The High Growth Coach have some important messages to share.
Project Director, Michelle Moore said, “When we started these projects we knew how important they were, but with the financial meltdown and events in Greece and Ireland in particular, we had no idea of just how important they would become. Last month, I went to a Partner meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania. I was so impressed with the progress that had been made and the impact of the projects, especially with our partners in Lithuania.”
The two projects have seen Exponential’s web-based management 360 degree assessment system, Perspectives 360 translated and adapted for use in Greece, Ireland, Slovenia, Lithuania, and Romania. As a result, plans are in place to extend the Perspectives 360 assessment network to other European partners.
Michelle added, “What is exciting about this project is we can now directly benchmark the skills of managers from the UK against their counterparts in different European countries. The multi language nature of the tool also means that the assessment and the feedback report can be generated in multiple languages making it a truly transnational assessment system.”
Exponential Business Development Manager, James Dillon, commented, “Seeing our learning modules in Lithuanian, Romanian, Hungarian and Slovene is strange, but I know from the feedback we have had how important the High Growth Coach project is. Our Partners in Lithuania, Enterprise Lithuania, have an important mission to support the start and development of competitive businesses in Lithuania. To know that we are helping the Lithuanian Government to achieve three of its main strategic objectives, namely to help businesses create measurable added value, to be the most innovative and efficient government agency in Lithuania and to increase financial independence from public funding is both a privilege and very satisfying.”
To mark the end of the first stage of the two projects, Exponential is hosting a conference at the Chartered Management Institute training centre in Corby. The theme is Growing Through Challenging Times and promises to provide a fascinating insight into how businesses and managers across Europe are rising to the challenge. If you are a business coach or consultant, an employer or a manager, an enterprise centre or a business training institution, you will learn how you can make use of the many tools developed through the two projects.
The conference is being sponsored by the European Lifelong Learning Programme and so there isno cost to attending. Places will be limited to a maximum of 100 and with demand expected to be high, it is recommended that if you are interested in attending you should reserve your place as soon as possible.
