EMIN News - Marketing grants for new and emerging Derbyshire artists

A marketing boost for Derbyshire artists

The Derbyshire Arts Partnership will be offering Marketing Grants to new and emerging artists to help boost the county’s creative economy and both support and promote Derbyshire’s local artistic talent.

Individual artists and their small arts based businesses in Derbyshire are eligible to apply for this grant that provides £500 towards a wide range of marketing including new publicity material, photography, advertising and website development.

The applications will be considered three times a year, on 1st July, November and March.

The Derbyshire Artists’ Marketing Grants will prioritise new and emerging professional artists from Derbyshire and offer support to help market and develop these individuals with the aim of boosting the county’s creative economy.

These grants provide a much-needed boost to artists to enable them to expand and develop by funding vital marketing activity that they may not otherwise be able to afford.

These grants build on the success of the Derbyshire Designer Maker Grants that have been available since 2004, and which have supported 61 small businesses to develop new marketing material and opportunities.

The Design Factory, a not-for-proft organisation committed to supporting the development and success of designer/makers and manufacturers in the East Midlands, will administer the new grant scheme on behalf of the Derbyshire Arts Partnership (DAP). DAP is made up of Derbyshire County Council and the county’s borough and district councils.
