Web Technology student John Knowles worked on launching an online store for the fast-growing youth fashion brand Golddigga while completing his degree at Lincoln.
John, who will graduate from the University in September, has now gone on to join the Nottingham-based web development company Nzime, who he worked for as a freelancer on the Golddigga project.
He said: “Nzime is a cross-media agency made up of designers, programmers and dedicated individuals producing exciting, impactful graphic design for clients including Maru Swimwear and Elastoplast.
“They saw my website www.knowj.com and invited me in for a chat. They seemed to like what I had done and I then worked for them on a number of projects whilst still studying for my degree.”
For John’s final year project he built a PHP and MySQL e-commerce system that Nzime are using for their online store for Golddigga.
John added: “Working for the company really helped my degree course and I think the standard of work I’m coming up with now is way beyond what I was doing before.”
