On 17th September at the National Space Centre, Leicester, Michael Acton Smith, co-founder of gadget site Firebox.com and serial entrepreneur will talk about his experiences of setting up a business from scratch, raising venture capital during the internet boom, teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, to reaching profitability and beyond.
Michael has also raised $11m in venture capital for his latest company Mind Candy which specialises in the development of multi-player online games.
The event is being presented by the emda funded Growth Investment Network East Midlands and is a unique opportunity to hear a fascinating entrepreneurial story and learn from all the experiences that Michael has had along the way.
The event starts at 5.30pm at the National Space Centre and there will also be the opportunity to network with entrepreneurs, investors and support organisations from across the region.
