Case study: i4C Marketing

Founded in 2003 and heralded as Lincolnshire Creative Industries Business of the Year in 2004, marketing company i4C's 'big name' client list continues to grow. A young and vibrant company, i4C has clients as diverse as the JMB Ferrari Racing Team, the NHS, The Learning and Skills Council and Lincolnshire Development. It also achieved 'phenomenal results' from its creative marketing work on a £16 million Broadband Campaign.

Since the company's formation, Directors Phil Walker, Andrew Talkes and David Walker have been joined by another Director, Simone Bellandini who heads up sister company i4C Events. All in all, i4C now has a team of 11 people. Based at The University of Lincoln's Sparkhouse Studios, the company has built its reputation on a fresh, driven approach to marketing. It provides a range of services both in-house and through relationships developed with other tenants. These services include marketing, graphic design, public relations, advertising, web site development and film/DVD production.

"Sparkhouse Studios have given us a valuable base of services and support which has enabled us to grow the business to where it is today - a business which is helping to create a living, breathing focus for the media sector in Lincoln," said David Walker.

While their success is generating both national and international opportunities, the Directors remain committed to their roots. David commented: "We feel very strongly that Lincolnshire has been coy about its business talents for too long."

At the heart of i4C's determination to meet the client's real business objectives is its unique fourpoint clarification of results process. "This process includes a brief that exceeds the client's expectations but remains within budget. Clients can also access daily status updates through the i4C extranet," explained Phil Walker.
