For Employers Paying Your Employees Helps you to work out your employees' tax and National Insurance, and gives you tips on how to keep good records and where you can turn to for help.
Calculating National Insurance Contributions for Directors Explains the special rules for paying Directors, along with the higher rates of tax and 'K' codes.
Paying expenses and giving benefits to your employees This workshop will cover the most common types of expenses and benefits, and explain which tax and National Insurance will be due.
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) Talks you through how to pay SSP to eligible employees, and what you need to know if you operate your own sick pay scheme.
Statutory Pay and Leave for Maternity, Paternity and Adoption( SMP, SPP and SAP) Helps you with paying SMP, SPP and SAP to eligible employees, explains what the leave conditions are and with what to do if an employee is not eligible.
Paying Tax Credits Talks you through how to pay tax credits to your employees and what records you need to keep.
Collecting Student Loans Explains how and when to deduct student loan repayments.
End of Year Returns (runs February-April) Explains how to complete your End of Year Returns, which forms you need to send to the Inland Revenue and when they are due.

For Businesses Becoming Self-Employed Starts you off on the right track by explaining how to register, the basics of tax, National Insurance and VAT, along with what you will need to do and when to send information.
Self-Assessment (SA) for the Self-Employed Aimed at sole traders and partnerships we can explain how to complete your SA return. The workshop will cover expenses and allowances, the important dates, and how to pay your tax.
For the Construction Industry The Construction Industry Scheme - for contractors and subcontractors Talks you through how the ID card and voucher scheme works and how it affects you.
For Companies IR35 - Calculating the deemed payment If you are affected by the procedures outlined in the Government Press Release IR35, this workshop can explain how you can calculate the payment.
Setting up a limited company Helps you with the basics of forming a limited company, and lets you know how to register with Companies House, the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise.
These workshops are held around the East Midlands and usually last for 3-4 hours. The workshop programme continues all year round.
